UPPER NORTHEAST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Novodiax is an in vitro diagnostic company located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to develop innovative tissue-based immunoassays. The Novodiax product line consists of rapid immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry on fresh or frozen tissues with less than 20-minute total turnaround time from extracted tissues. In addition, these products work for FFPE tissues and may be added to automated histology platforms.

We are looking for a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our domestic sales growth in the Upper part of the Northeast covering nine states. The successful candidate will have knowledge in either selling tissue based diagnostic assays or experience working in an IHC lab environment with a strong desire to enter sales. You will focus on selling our products to doctor’s offices, namely Mohs clinics and hospitals. You will be a strong candidate if you have laboratory experience (molecular biology, cytology or histology) and/or a proven track record in sales.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Bachelor degree in Life Sciences or Healthcare (or equivalent experience).
  • Sales experience (Life Science or Healthcare industry preferred).
  • Ability to work independently to drive growth in your accounts as well as work collaboratively with peers, pathologists and laboratory personnel.
  • Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations and training sessions.
  • Desire to work collaboratively with Mohs physicians, pathologists, laboratory personnel, and medical institution stakeholders.
  • Ability to share information and to collaborate with your peers in the field as well as Marketing, Research & Development, and Technical Support to overcome market challenges.
  • Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time or live within assigned territory.
  • Must understand the IVD market and be able to grasp medical and/or scientific concepts.

JOB POSITIION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified candidate needs to be teachable, have excellent written communication skills, demonstrate fine active listening skills, a willingness to listen to customer needs, and act upon those needs. Qualified candidate is expected to track customer interactions using SAAS-based CRM platform.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual/videoconferencing platforms (e.g. Zoom).

PERSONAL/OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess excellent written communication skills and an understanding of practical sales concepts and strategies.
  • Must be able to work independently to fulfill team goals and objectives.
  • It is desirable to have some experiences working within the in vitro diagnostic (IVD), life sciences or medical device fields.
