Q-STAIN X (QSXTM) DAB chromogen is intended for in vitro diagnostic use. The reagent is packaged especially for use with the Novodiax Q-STAIN® X Autostainer System. This reagent uses the unique two-chamber QSX cartridge which permits mixing just prior to use to increase reagent stability. The first chamber houses the chromogen and the second houses the chromogen diluent. The reagent can then be used on the Q-STAIN for about 3 calendar days after mixing. It is recommended to refrigerate in between uses.
Summary and Explanation:
The QSX DAB chromogen is designed for use with QSX line of antibody reagents. A DAB working solution is created when both the chromogen and diluent are combined and mixed. The HRP conjugated antibody then catalyzes the DAB working solution to form visible brown color precipitates at the site of the antibody-antigen reaction.
