Q-STAIN X (QSXTM)-Enh p40 is intended for laboratory use to qualitatively identify by light microscopy the presence of p40 in sections of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) and/or frozen tissues using immunohistochemistry (IHC) test methods. The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient’s clinical history and other diagnostic tests and proper controls interpreted by a qualified pathologist and/or physician. This reagent has been formulated to ready-to-use concentration and optimized for IHC use without further dilution
Summary and Explanation:
QSX-Enh p40 is a ready-to-use rabbit monoclonal antibody reagent (Clone R392). p40 is expressed in breast, cervix, placenta, prostate, and skin. Clinically, p40 can classify non-small cell carcinomas such as adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma and aids in the identification of large cell lung carcinoma. p40 tissue stains demonstrate high sensitivity and specificity for squamous cell carcinoma, malignant mesothelioma neuroendocrine carcinomas. See QSTAIN X User’s Guide to learn more about test protocols.
